I recently learned of the death of Gardner by looking http://capitainetroy.free.fr/fra/mckaybio.html website by chance, it made me very sad, especially discovering that it was much more than the Captain Troy who made me dream as 1963 (I was 16). I think it was an exceptional man and I hope to one day read his biography in French.
